Katy is based in Sydney where she is a busy and very experienced freelance makeup artist and hair stylist. She recently worked for MAC Cosmetics for four years in store and on the Artist Training and Development Team, and has been a key member of the makeup teams at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia and David Jones, for various designers such as Alice McCall and Carla Zampatti.

Katy’s expertise includes makeup artistry for print and film, hair styling for fashion editorials and media, and training other makeup professionals. Her strengths include remaining calm under pressure and working to tight deadlines, maintaining a positive attitude in all situations and constant desire to learn and willingness to share skills and expertise with others.

Her reputation as a well-known and in-demand makeup artist has seen her work published in the magazines Elle, MiNDFOOD, BLACK, Australian Women’s Weekly, New Idea and Woman’s Day. Internationally acclaimed fashion designers have considered her a part of their team, and she has worked with award-winning hairstylists at competition time. She had 4 years at iD Dunedin Fashion Week, where she was the preferred makeup artist & hair stylist of the annual iD Identity image, which is seen globally.

Katy has a love of fashion, art and beauty and is often inspired by the careers of international makeup artists including James Molloy, Val Garland, Terry Barber, Jo Baker and Alex Box.
